With over 25 years of medical excellence, Dr. Shaju Asokan is recognized as one of India’s leading ophthalmic surgeons, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. Over the span of his career, he has successfully performed more than 200,000 eye surgeries, including advanced LASIK, complex cataract procedures, phakic IOL implants, corneal transplants, pediatric eye surgeries, and innovative refractive lens exchanges.
Holding 9 distinguished medical degrees, Dr. Shaju Asokan has been at the forefront of ophthalmic innovation. He was among the first doctors in South India to perform corneal cross-linking for keratoconus, served as an investigator in landmark cataract surgery trials, and has introduced advanced refractive solutions that continue to set benchmarks in modern eye care.
Internationally acclaimed, Dr. Shaju Asokan has presented his work at major ophthalmology conferences in India, Singapore, and London. He has conducted over 50 CME programs across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, trained the next generation of ophthalmologists through live surgical skill transfer courses, and been invited as an expert to global LASIK and cataract symposiums.
